No complaints about brakes. It was a tow in because the computer had put the vehicle in limp mode and the battery was dead.

Recall and airbag lights involve passenger seat wire repair and airbag module replacement. Customer has to come up here and clean out backseat of car before we can do recall. We aren’t doing the A/C due to she doesn’t want to pay for anything.

This was driving. The threads were stripped. Tech backed off the jam nut to do an alignment and this happened.
Apparently this is the second time this has happened to this car. It was loaded up in a roll back and sent down the street to Toyota.

I’m pretty paranoid about that hoist situation. Our four-post at work is a pretty steep uphill to get onto , and because winter you’ve got to hit it at a decent clip in anything rear-drive or you just spin out. The thing that got me most about watching that clip was how the ramps on that hoist just folded out of the way.

D idn’t even notice until you pointed it. Huh. I w onder what that’s all about? Sure, t he vehicle ’s not centered in relation to the rack, but I wouldn’t expect the ramps to just roll over like that. Could it be s ome sort of hide-away feature to tuck the ramps away when the rack goes up, that just wasn’t locked securely ?

I dunno. I wouldn’t think so though. Our ramps are hinged, and go up with the hoist, flipping up a plate that would stop a vehicle from rolling back off the hoist as they swing down.

Yeah, that’s the style I’m used to seeing. Just trying to make sense of the way these pivoted . A lmost looks like they’ re supposed to completely flip over 180° and disappear into the floor when the rack goes up, but just happened to not be locked against doing so.
